Beginning Band is a fun and welcoming class where 6th graders learn how to play a band instrument while being in class with their friends. Students will learn to read music, play rhythms, make great sounds, and work together as a team. No music experience is needed—just a positive attitude and a willingness to try! Band students also get exciting opportunities to perform, take trips, and be part of a close-knit group that makes music and memories together.
Intermediate Band is a great next step for 7th grade students who already play a band instrument and want to keep improving with their friends. Students will build on what they learned in beginning band by playing more challenging music, improving tone and technique, and developing stronger music reading skills. Band members will continue to work as a team, perform at concerts, and go on fun trips while growing as musicians and making lasting memories together.
Advanced Band is designed for 8th grade students who are ready to take their musicianship to the next level alongside their friends. Students will play more advanced music, refine their technique and musical expression, and develop leadership skills by setting a positive example for younger band members. The band will perform at concerts, festivals, and special events, and enjoy exciting trips and experiences. This class is a chance to grow as a musician, work as a team, and create unforgettable memories before high school.
