This is Mr. Kane's second year at Brevard Middle School. He began his teaching career in Claremont, NC at Mill Creek Middle School in 2022. A native of Asheville, North Carolina, Mr. Kane has been around the Brevard area most of his life. He is a graduate of Appalachian State University, graduating Magnum Cum Lade with certificate in Tuba Performance. While at Appalachian Mr. Kane served as drum major for the Marching Mountaineers from 2020-2022, performed in the Appalachian Tuba Euphonium Collective, Appalachian Glee Club, and many other musical ensembles. He is a member of Pi Kappa Lambda, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Collegiate North Carolina Music Educators Association, National Band Association and is an active performer with the Blue Ridge Symphonic Brass, Brevard Community Band, and the Hendersonville Community Band.
He currently reside in Fletcher, NC with his wife, Kayla, and 4 year old Milo, the papshund (Papillion and Dachshund mix).

Andrew Jimeson is in his 18th year as a music educator and currently serves as Director of Bands at Brevard High School in Brevard, North Carolina, where he conducts the Wind Symphony, Marching Band, and Jazz Ensemble. In addition to his work at Brevard High School, he is an adjunct instructor at Brevard College, where he teaches music education courses.
Mr. Jimeson earned his Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Appalachian State University in 2007 and his Master’s in Music Education from East Carolina University. Prior to his appointment at Brevard, he served as Director of Bands at Davie County High School in Mocksville, NC, from 2008 to 2021. During his tenure, the Davie High band program earned 15 Superior ratings at the North Carolina State Music Performance Assessment and, in 2016, the Wind Ensemble received the President’s Cup at the U.S. Army Band’s National Concert Band Invitational. He was recognized as Davie High School’s Teacher of the Year in 2013–2014.
In 2024, Mr. Jimeson was honored as one of School Band and Orchestra Magazine's "50 Directors Who Make a Difference," representing the state of North Carolina. He currently serves as President-Elect of the North Carolina Bandmasters Association and is active as a clinician and adjudicator throughout the state.
An advocate for community music, Mr. Jimeson performs regularly with the community bands of Brevard and Hendersonville. He also serves on the board of the Western North Carolina Bandmasters Association as the High School All-District Clinic Chair and webmaster, and is a past chairman of the Northwest North Carolina Bandmasters Association.
His professional affiliations include the National Association for Music Education, North Carolina Music Educators Association, American School Band Directors Association, National Band Association, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.

Dr. Nathan Tingler currently serves as Instructor of Percussion and Director of the Tornado Drumline at Brevard College in North Carolina. Prior to joining the Brevard faculty in 2019 Tingler taught in several locations around the state of Georgia, including Georgia College and State University, and continues to teach clinics and masterclasses regularly. Tingler has diverse experience teaching competitive marching ensembles, lecturing in musicology, directing steel bands, composing, performing, and recording.
Dr. Tingler currently performs with the Tallahassee Symphony, the Gwinnett Ballet Theatre, and records with his percussion duo, Mist. His compositions, currently published by Bachovich Music Publications, have been performed across the south by groups including the Arasmas Percussion Group, the University of Georgia Percussion Ensemble, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham Percussion Ensemble.
An experienced freelancer, Dr. Tingler has performed with the Chattanooga Symphony, the Alabama Symphony, the Macon Symphony, the Valdosta Symphony, the Lancaster Festival Orchestra, the Albany (GA) Symphony, the Brevard Philharmonic, the Ludwig Symphony, the Russian Folk Instrument Orchestra, the Highlands Playhouse, Arts! Oglethorpe, and the Arasmas Percussion Group. Tingler has also performed on stage with major artists including Bela Fleck, Dave Brubeck, Chris Brubeck and Triple Play, Martina McBride, Ney Rosauro, Kevin Bobo, and Blake Tyson.
Dr. Tingler earned his Doctorate, Masters, and Bachelors from the University of Georgia under the tutelage of Mr. Timothy Adams Jr., former Principal Timpanist of the Pittsburgh Symphony, and Mrs. Kimberly Toscano Adams, former Principal Timpanist of the Tucson Symphony. Tingler also holds a Professional Studies certificate from the Cleveland Institute of Music where he studied with Mr. Richard Weiner and Mr. Paul Yancich of the Cleveland Orchestra. Tingler has also studied with Dr. Thomas McCutchen, Dr. Ryan Smith, and Dr. Todd Mueller.

Dr. Nick Stow is a native of Landrum, South Carolina and has earned music degrees from Clemson University, Appalachian State University, and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. His saxophone mentors include Dr. John Bleuel, Dr. Stephen Fischer, Dr. Scott Kallestad, and Dr. Paul Haar.
Dr. Stow promotes the pedagogy of Joe Allard which discovers each musician’s unique sound through a reduction of tension and a deeper understanding of the biological mechanisms used in playing wind instruments. He has been on the music faculty at many institutions across North Carolina and the country, including East Tennessee State University, Creighton University, Pfeiffer University, South Piedmont Community College, Mitchell Community College, and Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. Dr. Stow is currently serving as the instructor of single reeds at Brevard College. As a woodwind specialist, he has performed with the Newton-Conover Community Band, Johnny Manhattan Orchestra, Lonny Lynn Orchestra, Brevard Community Band, the Blue Ridge Orchestra, and has appeared in the pit orchestra for Guys & Dolls, Far from Heaven, Bonnie & Clyde, and Lewis & Clark Part One: Manifest Destiny musical productions.
He also performs locally with Unpaid Bill & the Bad Czechs, the Heavy Lifters, and Nacho and the Stowaways. Dr. Stow is a member of the North American Saxophone Alliance, the College Music Society, and the Pi Kappa Lambda Music Honors Society. Lastly, he maintains a private studio teaching saxophone, clarinet, flute, and composition to students ranging from 6th grade to adult learners. Dr. Stow lives in Brevard, North Carolina with his partner and many pets. He enjoys hiking, biking, paddling, camping, and everything in between.
